How can I configure an interactive test module (ITM) if my device (test structure) does not match anything in the 4200-SCS Device Library?

First of all, it is important to remember that the pre-configured device images used on the ITM's Definition Page are not functional, and only provide visual aid for test configuration. For example, the same results can be obtained from an ITM built under a 4-terminal-MOSFET device plan, and an ITM built under a 4-terminal-generic device plan. So, you can always use pre-configured Generic Devices from the Generic device library in case of an unstandard device.

The second option is to actually add a new custom device to the Device Library. It is fairly easy to do, since it involves editing two simple bitmap images using MS Paint, and one short text file using the MS Notepad. This procedure is described and illustrated in detail in the 4200-SCS Reference Manaul, Chapter 6, under "Managing KITE Application Files And Test Results".
